Why: To benefit the Lake City EMTs

Where: Lake City, Colorado.

When: Festivities start at 4 p.m., Friday, June 15th at the Town Armory. We serve dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. (free for entrants, guests for nominal fee), and you can leave drop bags in the marked piles. The gun goes off at 5 am on Saturday the 21st.

Start: 5 AM, June 21st, 2008, Town Park, Lake City, CO.

Registration: Register online, or print out an entry form from this site and send it to us. Late registartion is from 4 to 7 PM on June 20th at the Town Armory.
No day-of registration. Limited to 150 runners.

Entry Fees: $90.00 postmarked by May 15, $110.00 thereafter. If you drop by May 15, we will refund half the fee, as long as there is someone on the waiting list to take your place. After May 15, no refunds, no exceptions. Smile, it's for a good cause. Cancelled check is your confirmation; please check for your name on the website's list of current entrants. Those on the waiting list will be notified by email if their entry is confirmed. Those on wait list will have full fee refunded if they cancel before their entry moves up to the confirmed list.
Note: Waiting list will start at 151. Plenty of wait-listed runners move up to the run list each year because of drops, so don't hesitate to still enter. Wait-listed runners who move up to the confirmed list will be notified by email. Wait-listers may drop and get a full refund (less $6 if you register online) at any time up until they move to the confirmed list. Those wait-listers who do not get to run will receive a full refund (less $6 if you register online).

Cancellation Policy
The race committee reserves the right to cancel or alter the race due to conditions outside of our control, such as weather, snowpack, fires, or other acts of nature. We will do our best to return a portion of the entry fee if the race is cancelled, but please remember that we incur a lot of costs and we are a non-profit event. Runner's safety is our priority.

Getting There: From Gunnison, CO, take Hwy 149 approx. 55 miles south. Gunnison has flights. 55 miles north of Creede on Hwy 149. Click on Lake City Area tab for map.

Course: One counter-clockwise loop; altitudes ranging from 8,600' to 13,334'; 12,000'+ elevation gain; mostly trails, some jeeproads. Middle-of-pack runner: expect 12-14 hours. 16:00 cut-off.

Aid: 5 stations with the works; 2 more water/snack stops, plus a fully stocked finish line.
